Light in the Water | Editorial Portraiture

This was first time in a long time that I had done a shoot at the beach.  I forgot how beautiful it is and how quiet it can be.  Just Erica, her sister Kate (who did her makeup by the way - so good), and me at El Matador Beach in Malibu.  Three girls playing dress up on the water.  As I drove home that night I thought to myself, what a lovely way to spend my Sunday afternoon.  I must do that more often.

Erica and I spoke a lot about what her vision was for the shoot and I spoke a lot about what I thought she should wear!  I feel like we really accomplished all the things that were floating around in our heads all those weeks.  I could tell she felt beautiful that day and that to me is why I do this.  Thank you for reminding me Erica :)
