I've recently gone back to my roots and started creating mixed media journals again (I'll share those in another post soon) so I've been looking at all kinds of art lately. Sometimes looking at a beautiful painting or a unique photograph inspires what I wear. It could be the craziest, loudest of paintings/colors/sculptures and yet somehow, it reminds me of a really simple lace top I have in the back of my closet. Funny how certain things jog your memory. On the other hand, I'm often drawn to subtle, muted, dark toned art and it can inspire me to buy funky jewelry or a new scarf.
